President Nana Akufo-Addo is whipping up home support for the Black Stars of Ghana ahead of their clash with the Pharaohs of Egypt in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
"We go again tonight against Egypt. Let's all rally behind the Black Stars", the president urged in a short message on Facebook.
"They need nothing but our unalloyed support.
Go Black Stars, go!", the president wrote.
Tonight's game will be Ghana's second Group B match.
Kickoff is at 8 pm at Abidjan's Félix Houphouët Boigny stadium.
The Black Stars, who are at the bottom of Group B with no points picked up from their first game against Cape Verde, will be expected to win against the Pharaohs or at least draw to keep their hopes of staying in the competition alive.
Egypt is a seven-time champion of the tournament while Ghana have failed to win the tournament since 1982.
The Black Stars have played against the Pharaohs 23 times and have only five wins, six draws and 12 losses.
